Introduction
This agreement governs supervised access to the Church Beck Access Area for gorge walking and scrambling. Possession of this document does not grant access rights. Public access is permitted only under the supervision of an authorised User who has signed and complies with this Agreement.
Authorised Use
Access is coordinated by Water Park Adventure Centre and the Landowners.

Access is granted exclusively to authorised Users who have signed this Agreement and paid the annual fee. The Landowners may revoke access for non-compliance.
Fees
Annual fees (payable in advance on the 3rd Friday of January):
- Up to 100 visitors: £300
- Up to 300 visitors: £500
- Up to 1,000 visitors: £1,200
- Unlimited visitors: £4,000
Note: Visitor numbers include all staff and instructors.
Risk Management
Gorge walking is hazardous. Users are responsible for risk assessments, staff competence, and participant safety. Conditions such as water levels, weather, and surrounding terrain must be considered, including risks posed by trees, rocks and water.
Liability
Landowners accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage. By signing, Users confirm they:
- Assume responsibility for staff and participants
- Maintain risk management procedures
- Brief participants appropriately
- Hold public liability insurance
- Indemnify the Landowners
All users must hold their own liability insurance.
Parking & Changing
Parking is permitted at Station Road and the old station car park. Do not obstruct traffic. Changing must be discreet. Parking/changing at Dixon Ground is prohibited.
Conduct
Groups must not interfere with infrastructure. Noise should be minimal. Abusive or inconsiderate behaviour toward Landowners, residents, or the public is prohibited.
Compliance & Identification
Users must monitor behaviour and report issues. Instructors must wear high-visibility yellow vests with their User Group number clearly visible. Users with pre-existing numbers can continue to display the number issued under the previous agreement.
New organisation will need to contact office@waterparkadventure.co.uk to be allocated their organisation number.
Environmental Care
Leave the site litter-free and follow the Ghyll Scrambling Code. Reports of damage or erosion can be shared with the landowner via office@waterparkadventure.co.uk
Staff Changes
You must notify Water Park of staff changes for financial administerial purposes and ensure new personnel understand this Agreement.
Trespass Notice:
Access to the section of the Beck covered by this agreement is strictly limited to individuals or organisations who have signed this agreement and paid the applicable fees.
Any person or organisation accessing the Beck without having met these requirements will be trespassing under law and may be doing so without valid insurance coverage.
